Light Snow
On Time
Paramount Snow Management teams monitored all sites across the GTA during the early morning hours of February 23, 2026. Reports of slippery areas and snow-covered surfaces were received across multiple regions. Temperatures remain below freezing, with a daytime high near –3°C and overnight lows forecast to dip to approximately –13°C. Due to these conditions, all teams have been called in to perform a salt service run across all properties throughout the GTA to help combat the snow that has fallen and reduce the risk of slippery conditions.
Please note: This service run may exceed anticipated timelines, as all teams must travel to Toronto to pick up salt supplies. Our local Burlington suppliers currently do not have product available and are unable to provide material for this run.
Regional Service Details
Burlington, Oakville, Milton & Waterdown
Teams have been called in to perform a salt service run beginning at 4:00 AM on February 23, while scattered flurries continue. These regions have received 1–2 cm of snowfall. Salt is being applied to help combat the snow that has fallen and to help prevent slippery areas while temperatures remain below freezing.
Anticipated completion: 9:00 AM
Salt Supply Update
Southern Ontario continues to experience a province-wide salt shortage due to increased winter demand and ongoing supply chain constraints, with municipalities being prioritized. Salt availability remains limited and inconsistent across all regions.
Salt is becoming increasingly scarce across Southern Ontario. Depot inventories fluctuate daily, and product access cannot be guaranteed. Paramount Snow Management is working around the clock with suppliers across all regions to secure material; however, obtaining salt is becoming progressively more difficult. For this service run, teams are required to travel to Toronto depots to obtain salt, as suppliers within Burlington and surrounding areas do not currently have product available.
Our teams are working extremely hard to secure supplies and maintain service levels. Please understand that material limitations may impact timelines.
Our crews continue to work diligently to ensure safety on your properties. Teams will continue to monitor all sites throughout all regions, and should conditions change, further updates will be provided.
