Salt Supply Update

Southern Ontario continues to experience a province-wide salt shortage due to increased winter demand and ongoing supply chain constraints, with municipalities being prioritized.

Salt availability remains limited and inconsistent across all regions. Product inventories fluctuate daily, and access to material cannot always be guaranteed. Salt is becoming increasingly scarce across Southern Ontario.

Paramount Snow Management continues to work diligently with suppliers across all regions to secure material. Our teams will do everything possible to maintain service levels and prioritize safety; however, material availability remains a significant challenge.

Salt applications are being deployed strategically and responsibly to ensure the most effective use of available supply.

Teams remain on standby as there is potential for scattered flurries during the overnight hours. Crews will be deployed should servicing become necessary.
