Weather Monitoring & Service Completion January 11, 2026

A Few Clouds

On Time

Paramount Snow Management teams monitored a weather system that impacted the GTA during the afternoon and evening hours of January 10, 2026. Most regions experienced rainfall throughout the afternoon, with temperatures remaining above freezing. Some areas received mixed precipitation, with less than 1 cm of snow accumulation reported.  As temperatures were forecasted to hover around freezing and then dip below freezing during the overnight hours, a proactive salt service run was required to help combat potential slippery conditions resulting from the precipitation received.

All Snow teams were deployed across the GTA beginning at 11:00 PM to perform a full salt service run based on overnight temperature forecasts and observed site conditions.  All salt service routes were completed by approximately 2:30 AM on January 11, 2026.

Teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.
