Snow

On Time

Paramount Snow Management teams have been monitoring a weather system affecting the GTA throughout the day on December 31, 2025. Across all regions, snowfall accumulations ranged from a trace up to approximately 3 cm, with flurries forecasted to continue through the evening hours. Temperatures remained below freezing, sitting around –5°C, with overnight lows forecasted to reach approximately –12°C. A full salt service run was required to help combat the snow that had fallen and reduce the risk of slippery conditions as temperatures continued to drop.  Paramount Snow Management teams were called in to deploy across the GTA beginning at 7:00 PM, with crews arriving on sites by approximately 8:00 PM. Deployment was based on real-time monitoring and forecasted conditions to ensure proactive service and safe access at all properties.

Southern Ontario continues to experience a province-wide salt shortage due to increased winter demand and supply chain disruptions, with municipalities being prioritized. As a result, salt availability for private contractors remains limited. Paramount Snow Management continues to secure material as it becomes available and deploys services strategically to prioritize safety. In some cases, service timing and methods may be adjusted to ensure the most effective and responsible use of available materials.

Service runs are expected to be completed by approximately 12:00 AM on December 31, 2025, just in time to ring in the New Year.

Paramount Landscaping staff would like to extend our best wishes to all of our clients for a safe and happy New Year. Wishing you all the best for 2026.

Reports from Paramount offices within Brantford confirmed that a snow squall moved through these regions, resulting in snowfall accumulations exceeding 5 cm. Due to the increased accumulation and changing conditions, this weather event transitioned from a salt-only service to a full plow event, followed by a salt application to address snowpack and potential icy conditions.  Due to the timing and intensity of the snow squalls affecting these regions, deployment times were adjusted. Teams will begin service at 9:00 PM to safely and effectively address site conditions based on real-time monitoring and regional reports.  Plowing in progress overnight, with salt service to follow upon completion.
