Paramount Snow Management teams have been monitoring the weather system that began around 8:00 AM on December 29, 2025. Across all regions, snow was forecasted to begin around 8:00 AM, with temperatures remaining below freezing. Current forecasts indicate flurries through the morning hours, with the potential for approximately 1 to 3 cm of snowfall with high winds and blowing snow.

All sites were checked throughout the morning as conditions changed quickly with temperatures dropping below 0°C. As of approximately 10:30 AM, teams within the Guelph region were instructed to begin a salt service run after reports indicated slippery areas and a trace of approximately 1 cm of snowfall.

All remaining teams across the GTA are being called in to perform a full salt service run beginning at approximately 1:00 PM on December 29. This salt application is being performed to help combat the snow that has fallen, as well as additional snowfall forecasted throughout the day. Temperatures are expected to remain below freezing, sitting around –2°C with a low of approximately –4°C.

The anticipated completion time for all routes is approximately 5:00 PM on December 29, 2025.
