Weather Monitoring & Service Completion December 27, 2025

Paramount Service teams began a service run as of 3:00 PM on December 26, 2025. All properties received a full plow service followed by a salt service run.

Throughout the day on December 26, beginning around 9:00 AM, all regions experienced scattered flurries with temperatures below freezing, sitting at -1°C. By approximately noon, snowfall increased, and some accumulation was observed before conditions transitioned to freezing rain. Most sites across Milton, Burlington, and Waterdown received anywhere from a trace to approximately 1 cm of snow mixed with freezing rain pellets.  Within Oakville, the reports were close to 3-4cm of snowfall mixed with freezing rain.

All properties were plowed across these regions by approximately 11:00 PM on December 26. The subsequent salt service run was completed by approximately 4:00 AM on December 27.  With temperatures well below freezing, the salt service run was performed to help combat the snow / ice that fell as well to combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the falling temperatures.

All teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.

Light Snow

Throughout the day on December 26, beginning around 9:00 AM, all regions experienced scattered flurries with temperatures below freezing, sitting at -1°C. By approximately noon, snowfall increased, and some accumulation was observed before conditions transitioned to freezing rain. Most sites across Hamilton, Stoney Creek, and Brantford received anywhere from a trace to approximately 1 cm of snow mixed with freezing rain pellets.   Brantford was strictly freezing rain and ice pellets. Sites within Brantford have received a minimum of 2 salt service runs to help combat the freezing rain episode that took place within this city.

All properties were plowed across these regions by approximately 11:00 PM on December 26. The subsequent salt service run was completed by approximately 4:00 AM on December 27.  With temperatures well below freezing the salt service run was performed to help combat the snow/ice that fell, as well as to combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the falling temperatures.

All teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.
