Paramount Snow Management teams have been monitoring the weather system that has been moving through all areas of the GTA since 8:00 PM on December 22, 2025.
Teams will be starting a salt service run, with a potential plow service, as of 2:00 AM on December 23, 2025 in areas north of the 401 corridor. These areas have seen a trace to approximately 1 cm of snowfall, with additional snowfall and mixed precipitation forecasted before temperatures begin to rise.
Across the remaining regions of the GTA, the remaining teams will begin a salt service run as of 3:00 AM on December 23. This salt application is being performed to help combat the snow that has fallen, any additional snowfall that may occur, and to address potential slippery areas while temperatures hover around 0°C. Temperatures are forecasted to rise above freezing across the GTA throughout the day.
** UPDATE – As of 3am across all regions the teams started to plow all sites. The snow began to fall around midnight with light snow, as of 3am it became very heavy. Teams were dispatched to perform a full plow service and on sites by 4 am on December 23, 2025. We have recieved 5cm or more in all areas. We have an estimated completion of plowing as of 12am and all teams will commence with a salt run once plow has been completed.
The estimated completion time for all routes is approximately 7:00 AM on December 23, 2025.
