Salt Service Run Completion December 7, 2025

Snow began during the morning hours around 7:00 AM on December 7, with most areas experiencing scattered flurries since that time. The snowfall tapered off around 10:00 AM.

The Paramount Snow Management Teams monitored and checked sites throughout the morning, with most regions seeing anywhere from a trace to 1 cm of snowfall.

At 1:00 PM on December 7, 2025, a full salt service run began across all regions in the GTA. This salt run was performed to combat the snow that fell throughout the morning and to help address any slippery areas that may arise, particularly with an additional small system moving through the GTA.

Temperatures during this system ranged from –1°C to –3°C, and are expected to drop well below freezing overnight, reaching approximately –13°C in most regions, significantly increasing the risk of icy conditions.

All teams completed their routes as of 6:00 PM on December 7, 2025.

** UPDATE – teams within Oshawa and Ajax performed a salt service run as of 8am on December 7, 2025.  This salt service run was to help combat the snow that had fallen and to help combat any slippery areas that may arise. All teams completed their runs throughout these regions by 10am on December 7, 2025.
