The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge started a full salt service run of all sites as of 11 pm on February 17, 2025, across all sites within the GTA. Our teams have been tirelessly working through these storms to ensure the safety of our clients and to get all sites cleared. We are performing this salt service as well taking the chance to tidy up sites where needed after this week’s winter storms that have taken place. This salt service run is being performed to help combat the so that we had seen throughout the day which was anywhere from a trace to a centimeter of snowfall. After this week we have seen anywhere from amounts of 15 to 20 cm or more with each snowstorm that took place this week beginning on the weekend of February 8. We have an estimated completion of all sites throughout the GTA as of 5 am on February 18, 2025. Temperatures are well below freezing so please keep in mind that regular road salt may lose its effectiveness as we are sitting around -13°C. As previously provided to our clients we are facing a potential salt shortage but we will continue to maintain the sites as long as the salt is available. Please check back to this site for future service level updates as our teams will continue to monitor.
** UPDATE – Our teams within Guelph completed their service run that began at 4 pm on February 17, 2025, as of 10 pm on February 17.
If you require snow relocation or additional cleanup services, please know that we will begin reviewing requests on Tuesday, February 18th.
