Winter Storm and Site Service Second Round Completion February 17, 2025

The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown started their secondary service run of plowing at 2 pm on February 16, 2025.  Our teams had been monitoring and gearing up for another major snowstorm that started to impact our region early morning of February 15, 2025, which began around 5 am across the GTA.  We received anywhere between 5 to 10 cm of snowfall during the afternoon and into the evening hours.  Our teams completed their first plow service as of 8 am on February 16, 2025.  After being sent home for a mandatory rest period, our teams started back up with a secondary service with a full plow service and a salt run will follow right after. We received depending on the region anywhere from 10 to 15 cm of snowfall until 8 pm on February 16 with the heavier band of snow between 9 am and 12 pm.  Temperatures throughout this weather episode were sitting around -5°C.  Our teams completed their second plow service as of 10 pm on February 16 and a salt run right after which was completed by 3 am on February 17.  All teams are being sent home again for a mandatory rest period.  Our snow management staff will continue to monitor the weather as well sites throughout the remainder of the day on February 17 due to scattered flurries taking place throughout all regions.

** UPDATE – As of 4 pm on February 17 our teams within Guelph were sent back out to perform a full salt service run of all properties, these areas had seen a trace to a centimeter of snow as well drifting snow.  The salt service run was performed to help combat any slippery areas as well the snow that had fallen.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
