The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown have been monitoring and gearing up for another major snowstorm that is started to impact our region early morning of February 15, 2025, bringing 30-40 cm of snowfall between 8 AM on Saturday, February 15th, and 8 PM on Sunday, February 16th. We want to ensure you are informed of our response plan and provide guidance on how you can help facilitate a smoother snow-clearing process. Once again, this large winter storm that is impacting all areas across the GTA can take the teams 24 hours to clear.
Our Storm Response Plan
- Our team will be monitoring the storm throughout Saturday, snow began around 5 am on February 15, 2025.
- Plowing operations will begin at 10 PM on Saturday, February 15th.
- Our goal is to service all properties twice by dinnertime on Sunday, February 16th.
- Crews will take a mandatory rest period before resuming final plowing and salting at midnight on Monday, February 17th. Full completion is expected by noon.
Why This Storm Will Be More Challenging
This storm is worse than Wednesday’s for several key reasons:
- Longer Duration – Unlike the previous storm, which lasted about 12 hours, this storm will last over 36 hours. Continuous accumulation over an extended period means our teams must work longer shifts and make multiple passes to keep up.
- Increased Snowfall – This storm could bring up to 10 cm more than the last storm, significantly increasing cleanup times.
- Limited Snow Storage – The last storm used up most of the available snow storage on residential and commercial sites, making clearing more complex.
Service Requests for Additional Snow Removal & Parking Lot Cleanups
Due to the severity of this storm and our focus on keeping properties safe, we will not be reviewing or scheduling any additional service requests until Tuesday, February 18th. These requests will be handled in the order they are received.
- Parking lot cleanups will be booked in 2-hour slots and require all vehicles to be removed from the lot before service can begin.
- Snow relocation services require a quote and signed approval before scheduling. If you anticipate needing these services, please plan accordingly.
Customer Advisory
We strongly recommend staying off the roads on Sunday to allow emergency crews and snow removal teams to manage the storm efficiently. Hazardous conditions will make travel dangerous, and staying home helps ensure timely and safe service.
Respect for Our Crews
Our number one priority is the safety of our teams, who will be working 15-20 hour shifts to keep your properties clear. This storm will push our crews to their limits, and we appreciate your patience as they work through these extreme conditions.
We do not control Mother Nature, but we do everything in our power to respond in a timely and safe manner. The entire snow removal industry is struggling under these back-to-back storms. Please be patient and respectful with our staff—unnecessary disruptions or negative interactions only slow down operations and impact morale.
If you require snow relocation or additional cleanup services, please be aware that we will begin reviewing requests on Tuesday, February 18th.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We appreciate your support as we work tirelessly to keep you, your customers, and your families safe.
