The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge are monitoring another winter storm that is upon us across the GTA on February 12, 2025. Snowfall is expected to begin early afternoon on February 12, 2025, in most regions across the GTA, and continue through the evening, overnight, and into the early morning hours of February 13, 2025. We are forecasting 15+ cm of snow accumulation during this period, with some areas closer to the lake potentially seeing an additional 10 cm. There is a potential for anywhere from 20 to 30 cm of snowfall by the time the storm ends across the GTA. Temperatures will hover around -8°C, which may make travel conditions difficult and road visibility challenging, particularly during the heavier snowfall expected in the overnight hours. In response, our teams have an estimated start time to deployment as of 10:00 PM on February 12, and we are aiming to have all properties cleared by morning break on February 13 with the first service run of all properties. We are gearing up to have this storm with a total of 3 service runs with two plows and one salt by the evening of February 13, 2025. Please take extra precautions when traveling, as weather conditions could become difficult to navigate, especially in the darker hours of the night. We encourage you to stay informed and plan your travel accordingly. Temperatures are sitting below freezing around -3°C and are in the forecast to go to plus-degree temperatures by morning, with this there is a chance for some mixed precipitation in the early morning hours. Please note, with the potential magnitude of this storm this can turn into a 24-hour event for the services to be fully completed. We appreciate your patience as our teams work diligently to navigate through this winter storm while prioritizing safety.
