The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge have been called in to perform a salt service run of all regions across the GTA as of 8 pm on February 3, 2025. Our snow management teams have been monitoring the weather system that has been passing through the GTA since the afternoon. We have been seeing some freezing rain, ice pellets as well rain depending on the region. Our teams are performing this salt service run to help combat any slippery areas that may arise while the temperatures are hovering around 1°C and 0°C and before the temperatures dip tonight below freezing. Throughout the early evening we are forecasted to potentially see some mixed precipitation with a chance of less than a centimeter of snowfall while temperatures are forecasted to be above freezing and by 9 pm on February 3, 2025, the temperatures are to be at the freezing point with a low of -6°C by 3 am. We have an anticipated completion time of this salt service run throughout these regions as of 1 am on February 4, 2025. Our snow management teams will continue to monitor all regions as well as this weather episode. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
