The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge have been monitoring the sites and the weather episode that we saw across the GTA on January 16, 2025. We had been seeing flurries throughout all regions which began in the morning of January 16 around 8 am and some areas have seen a trace to a centimeter of snowfall throughout the day. Our teams were called in to perform a salt service run for 8 pm to perform a salt service run throughout all regions. This service run was performed to help combat the snow that had fallen, the snow that is in the forecast and we are forecasted to see a potential for another 1 to 2 cm throughout the evening and overnight hours. Temperatures remained below freezing during this weather episode sitting around -3°C with temperatures forecasted to be on the rise to around -1°C by 1pm on January 17, 2025. Our teams completed this salt service run as of 1 am on January 17, 2025. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
