The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown started a salt service run at midnight on January 13, 2025.  Most areas within these regions saw a trace of snow throughout this weather system that began around 8 pm on January 12, 2025.  Our teams performed a salt service run as of midnight on January 13, 2025, to help combat the snow that fell as well as any slippery areas that may arise.  Temperatures were hovering below freezing and forecasted to remain around 0 and 1°C before starting to dip again below freezing during the day.  Our teams completed their salt service run as of 4 am on January 13, 2025.  All teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** UPDATE – As of 4 pm all sites within these regions have been checked and will continue to be monitored as we are receiving reports of scattered flurries throughout the evening hours of January 13, 2025.  Our teams deemed that no servicing is required at this time.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge started a salt service run at midnight on January 13, 2025.  Most areas within these regions saw a trace to a centimeter of snow throughout this weather system that began around 8 pm on January 12, 2025.  Our teams performed a salt service run as of midnight on January 13, 2025, to help combat the snow that fell as well as any slippery areas that may arise.  Temperatures were below freezing during this weather system around -2 and remained below freezing throughout the day.  Our teams completed their salt service run as of 4 am on January 13, 2025.  All teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

 

** UPDATE – As of 4 pm our teams within Guelph and Cambridge were deployed to perform a salt service run of all sites within this city.  The salt run is being performed to help combat the snow that fell throughout the morning hours of January 13, 2025.  Within Guelph, we had received anywhere from a trace to 1 cm of snowfall.  Temperatures are well below freezing sitting around -4°C and with a low of -10°C by the early morning hours of January 14, 2025.  This run will also help combat any slippery areas that may arise while temperatures are below freezing.  We have an estimated completion of this service run as of 9 pm on January 13, 2025.  Our teams within Kitchener / Waterloo will be starting a salt service run as of 8 pm on January 13, 2025 as they have been seeing snow squalls coming through these regions throughout the afternoon hours.  This service run will be performed to help combat the snow that has fallen as they have seen anywhere from 1 to 2 cm in most areas as well to help combat any slippery areas that may arise while temperatures are dipping well below freezing during the overnight and early morning hours.  All teams completed their salt service runs as of 5 am on January 14, 2025.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
