The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge teams continued to monitor all sites across the GTA during the morning of January 7, 2025. Our teams within Guelph were dispatched as of 8 am on January 7, 2025, to perform a salt service run as we had received anywhere from a trace to a centimeter of snowfall throughout this region. Our teams are performing this salt service run to help combat the snow that had fallen as well as potential scattered flurries that are in the forecast throughout the day. Temperatures throughout the weather episode are well below freezing sitting around -7°C so the service run is being performed as well to help combat any slippery areas that may arise. Our teams completed their salt service run as of noon on January 7, 2025. Throughout this system, our teams within Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge will continue to monitor these regions as well as the weather as there have been some flurries. All teams remain on standby should further servicing be required. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
As of 8 pm all sites within these regions have been checked as there have been reports of scattered flurries throughout, but no further accumulation on sites within Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo or Cambridge. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
