Service Run Completion December 24, 2024

The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown started a full salt service run of all regions throughout the GTA as of 9 pm on December 23.  Throughout the afternoon on December 23, we had been seeing some scattered flurries and light snow which changed over to mixed precipitation with a rain/snow mix.  The forecast changed to a mixed precipitation episode which tapered off around 3 am, throughout these regions we saw anywhere from a centimeter to 3 cm of snowfall.  Temperatures during this weather episode remained above freezing, sitting around 2°C, and on the rise with a high of 2°C with a mixture of sun and cloud.  Our teams deployed as of 9 pm to start a full salt service run to help combat the scattered flurries we had seen throughout the day as well as help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  All teams within these regions completed their service run as of 2 am on December 24, 2024.  All teams will remain on standby should service requirements change.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge started a full salt service run of all regions throughout the GTA as of 9 pm on December 23.  Throughout the afternoon on December 23, we had been seeing some scattered flurries and light snow which changed over to mixed precipitation with a rain/snow mix.  The forecast changed to a mixed precipitation episode which tapered off around 3 am, throughout these regions we saw anywhere from a centimeter to 3 cm of snowfall.  Temperatures during this weather episode remained above freezing, sitting around 2°C, and on the rise with a high of 2°C with a mixture of sun and cloud.  Our teams deployed as of 9 pm to start a full salt service run to help combat the scattered flurries we had seen throughout the day as well as help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  All teams within these regions completed their service run as of 2 am on December 24, 2024.  All teams will remain on standby should service requirements change.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

Our teams within Kitchener, and Waterloo completed a full salt service run as of 7 am on December 24, 2024 with completing a full plow run followed by a full salt run.  Within these areas, reports were provided that within these cities they had seen around 4 cm of snowfall during this weather episode.  Our teams plowed to clear the snow that had fallen and salted to help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Our teams remain on standby and will deploy should service requirements change.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

Light Snow

The Paramount Service teams throughout Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham started a full plow service run of all regions, followed by a salt service run as of 9 pm on December 23.  Throughout the afternoon on December 23, we had been seeing some scattered flurries and light snow which changed over to mixed precipitation with a rain/snow mix.  The forecast changed to a mixed precipitation episode which tapered off around 3 am, throughout these regions we saw anywhere from a centimeter to 3 cm of snowfall.  Temperatures during this weather episode remained above freezing, sitting around 2°C, and on the rise with a high of 2°C with a mixture of sun and cloud.  Our teams deployed as of 9 pm to start a full salt service run to help combat the scattered flurries we had seen throughout the day as well as help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Reports provided stated that within these areas they had received anywhere from 5 to 8 cm of snowfall throughout, so a full service run with plowing to clear the snow that had fallen and a salt run commenced to help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  All teams will remain on standby should service requirements change.  Our teams within these regions completed their full service run as of 9 am on December 24, 2024.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

The Paramount Service teams within Mississauga, Brampton, and Georgetown started a full salt service run of all regions throughout the GTA as of 9 pm on December 23.  Throughout the afternoon on December 23 we had been seeing some scattered flurries and light snow which changed over to mixed precipitation with a rain/snow mix.  The forecast has changed to a mixed precipitation episode which is forecasted to taper off around 3 am, we are forecasted to see just over a centimeter of snow mixed with a millimeter of rain.  Temperatures during the remainder of this weather episode are forecasted to be above freezing, sitting around 2°C, remaining above freezing, and on the rise with a high of 2°C with a mixture of sun and cloud.  Our teams deployed as of 9 pm to start a full salt service run to help combat the scattered flurries we had seen throughout the day as well as help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  We anticipate completing this salt service run as of 2 am on December 24, 2024.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

** UPDATE – Our teams have reported that some areas of Mississauga, Brampton, and Georgetown require a full plow service before salting can commence.  Reports are coming back that they have received 5 cm of snowfall throughout these regions.  Our teams will complete a full plow service of properties that are required to do so and a salt run will commence.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Oshawa and Ajax started a full salt service run of all regions throughout the GTA as of 9 pm on December 23.  Throughout the afternoon on December 23 we had been seeing some scattered flurries and light snow which changed over to mixed precipitation with a rain/snow mix.  The forecast has changed to a mixed precipitation episode which is forecasted to taper off around 3 am, we are forecasted to see just over a centimeter of snow mixed with a millimeter of rain.  Temperatures during the remainder of this weather episode are forecasted to be above freezing sitting around 2°C and remaining above freezing and on the rise with a high of 2°C with a mixture of sun and cloud.  Our teams deployed as of 9 pm to start a full salt service run to help combat the scattered flurries we had seen throughout the day as well as help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  We have an anticipated completion of this salt service run as of 2 am on December 24, 2024.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.

The Paramount Service teams throughout London and Woodstock started a full salt and plow service of properties within these regions.  Temperatures are remaining above freezing during this weather episode and reports are that they have received close to 5 cm of snowfall.  All sites were plowed and a salt service run commenced right after to help combat the snow that fell and to help combat any slippery areas from arising.  Our teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.  Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
