Site Monitoring & Site Service Completion December 1, 2024

The Paramount Service teams in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, and Waterdown continued to monitor these regions, throughout these regions, there was a potential to see anywhere from scattered flurries to close to a centimeter of snowfall during the evening hours of December 1, 2024, between 6 pm and 10 pm.  All sites were checked as of 10pm as well again 2am on December 2nd, 2024 no servicing was required.  With the salt service run that took place on November 30, 2024 within Milton, Waterdown and Carlisle no further services were required throughout this weather episode.  Temperatures during this weather system were sitting around -3°C mark and during the day of December 2, 2024 we are forecasted to have temperatures on the rise.

Light Snow

On Time

The Paramount Service teams throughout Hamilton and Stoney Creek started a salt service run of all sites that were on the Mountain as they had received approximately 1 cm of snowfall during this weather episode.  Our teams were dispatched as of midnight on December 2nd, 2024 to perform a salt service run.  This salt service run is being performed to help combat the snow that had fallen as well to help prevent any slippery areas from arising.  Teams were completed all sites within these regions as of 4am on December 2nd, 2024.

Our teams within Brantford as of 2am started a full salt service run, when this episode started this region was not anticipated for any servicing to be required but the system changed and Brantford received around 1cm of snowfall.  This salt service run was performed to help combat any slippery areas from arising as well to help combat the snow that fell.  Teams completed their service run within Brantford as of 5am on December 2nd, 2024.

Snow

The Paramount Service teams throughout Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge are monitoring these regions, throughout these regions we have the potential to see anywhere from 1 to 2 centimeters of snowfall during the evening hours of December 1, 2024, between 6 pm and 10 pm.  Temperatures are hovering around -1 with the low of -3 overnight.  With this weather episode, there is a potential for a salt service run of all properties.

** UPDATE – As of 7pm our teams within Kitchener/ Waterloo are reporting close to 5cm of snow that has fallen.  Our teams are going to begin their service run with a full plow service followed by a salt service run.  We have an anticipated completion of this service run as of 3am.  WIthin Kitchener and Waterloo our teams are facing an upwards of 6-7cm of snowfall that has fallen since early evening.  Some areas within Kitchener were facing up to 12cm of snowfall that began in the early evening of December 1, 2024.

** UPDATE – As of 10pm our teams within Guelph and Cambridge were dispatched to start performing a salt service run throughout these regions.  Reports that are being provided these sites have seen anywhere from 1 to 2cm of snowfall.  The salt service run that is being performed is to help combat the snow that has fallen as well help combat any slippery areas that may arise.  Temperatures are below freezing and are forecasted to be -3°C with a low of -7°C.  We have an estimated completion of this service run as of 2am on December 2nd, 2024.

The Paramount Service teams throughout Toronto, Scarborough, and Markham had been monitoring these regions throughout the weather episode that went through the other regions within the GTA on December 1, 2024.  Our teams did not have to perform any services within Toronto and Scarborough.  Our teams within Markham decided to perform a salt service run as they reported some sites being slippery from the flurries that had come through and with the temperatures dropping.   The salt run was performed to help combat the slippery areas.  Temperatures during this weather episode were hovering around -3°C.

Flurries

The Paramount Service teams throughout London and Woodstock were faced with a large system that is set to hit the London and Woodstock areas over the next couple of days.  There is a chance starting December 1, 2024, that we could see 5-10 cm during the overnight hours which is the beginning of the wintery weather this area is forecasted to see.  Temperatures during this weather episode are forecasted to be around -3°C.  Within London, we are potentially going to see another centimeter throughout the day on December 2nd with 1-3cm in the afternoon, 5cm in the evening, and another 1-3 centimeters overnight.  Our teams within London have cleared the sites and will be back throughout this storm to keep clean and clear of snow that is falling.  Our teams within Woodstock plowed and salted during the early morning hours of December 2, 2024, as they had received around 5cm of snowfall and the storm seems to have tapered off within this region.
