Winter Storm Watch March 3rd – 4th, 2023 ** UPDATE **

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown have been monitoring the upcoming storm set to arrive around 3pm this afternoon Friday March 3rd ending around 8am on March 4th. The storm will bring 30+ cm across the GTA. Our plan as of today is to wait until after rush hour (8pm) to start servicing all sites which will set us up for an overnight / early morning secondary plow and touch up and finishing with a salt run end of day Saturday. Our teams will be out to service all properties throughout the duration of this storm, but please be advised with the forecasted amounts this will take our teams time to get around sites in a timely and safe manner.  We anticipate this being a 20+-hour shift for our teams both plow trucks and shovel teams, there will delays in our service times this is not controllable due to the magnitude of this snow storm Please note, with this size of storm with accumulations of 30+cm throughout all regions across the GTA our servicing can take up to 24 hours as per the contract for properties to be fully cleared.  The late afternoon/ evening hours will be extremely hard to navigate through as the snow is slated to fall at 5cm an hour for 4 hours between 5pm and 10pm with now under Blizzard Warnings.   This is very hard to see let alone to drive in which will slow our teams down tremendously.

If you have the capability to stay indoors throughout the storm including into Saturday morning as city plows will also be out clearing city roads and side streets during the morning on March 4th it would be a good idea. When our teams start their routes at 8pm, they will be visiting senior’s homes, medical settings, and open businesses first. Once these are complete, they will be then focused on condos and businesses that have regular hours, finishing with any residential properties.  Services for this storm will be completed by end of day Saturday March 4th,.

Environment Canada is stating that visibility could be significantly reduced due to heavy snow and blowing snow, plan your trip and your safety accordingly.

Once again the best method of communication regarding this storm is through our snowline at 855-906-0279 x 1 or [email protected], our regular staff emails are not monitored throughout weather episodes as the teams are working diligently .  Our teams will be battling this very large storm as best as we can as well in a safe manner.  As noted above, there will be service delays which are out of our teams control please try to refrain from calling to see when our teams will be by to service as they will be working through their routes and being safe.  There may also be a period in which our teams are on a mandatory rest period due to the length of time on road as well needing to re-coop from the amounts received.  Please stay home, this is a very large storm that is going to come in hard and fast and continue straight through the overnight and early morning hours.  The roads will not be safe to drive on.  Thank you in advance for your patience and please be safe!
