Weather System for February 4, 2021

The Paramount Service teams within Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown have been monitoring the system that is forecasted for these regions. The Weather Network is calling for a ‘mixed bag” of precipitation starting with freezing rain at late evening of February 4th, 2021 which is forecasted to last 2-3 hours. Because of the seriousness that freezing rain poses on the safety of individuals our teams will be performing a pre-salt run at approximately 7pm tonight on February 4, 2021. This will allow the freezing rain to melt on impact thus providing safe conditions on all sites.

Salt has not been applied at properties for 7 days which leaves very little residual salt on the ground to hold off the freezing rain, thus also prompting this pre-salt. The forecast within Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown and Milton is calling for 5 to 6cm of snowfall overnight and into the early morning hours of February 5, 2021 within these regions. Upon completion of our pre-salt service run our teams will continue to monitor your property throughout the night after our salt run and will clear and salt again if necessary.

The Weather Network is calling for a ‘mixed bag” of precipitation starting with freezing rain at late evening of February 4th, 2021 which is forecasted to last 2-3 hours. At this time our teams may or may not be performing a pre-salt because of the amounts of snowfall they are expecting to receive. All regions Guelph, Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge are forecasted to received anywhere from 5 to 10cm of snowfall during the late evening of February 4 and into the early morning hours of February 5, 2021. Our teams at this time may be out for a full plow and then salt upon completion of plowing instead of pre-salting but we will be receiving reports from our teams throughout the evening and will update this site with what our teams will be doing in regards to service levels.
