Site Servicing February 16, 2023 ** UPDATE **

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a full salt service run as of 9pm on February 16, 2023. Throughout these regions we had seen a mix of some snow and rain which transitioned to freezing rain. The teams started a salt service run to help combat any slippery areas from forming due to the temperatures hovering around the 0 and below freezing mark. While teams were salting we experienced heavy rain fall during this time. Temperatures are remaining at the 0° and 1° mark but with a potential to dip during the early morning hours. This salt run is being performed to help combat properties from freezing. Our teams completed their runs as of 1:30am and all remain on standby as we anticipate another run having to be completed during the early morning hours of February 17, 2023. The Paramount Service teams throughout Fort Erie have been monitoring this potential system that is forecasted during the evening on February 16, 2023 and into the early morning of February 17, 2023. Temperatures have been slowly dropping throughout all regions and are forecasted to see some rain begin around 9pm and last until 3am and transition to Freezing rain from 3am to 4am. At that point it is forecasted to transition into scattered flurries around 5am and go until 2pm on February 17, 2023. We could potentially see close to one to two centimeters of snow during this time. Our teams have been called in for 9pm to start a full salt service run of all properties to help combat any slippery areas from forming with the potential freezing rain. This run will also help combat the flurries that are forecasted. Our Snow Management members will be monitoring during this run and there is a potential for a secondary salt service run right after the first run is completed. We will update should this be required. For the first salt service run we have an estimated completion of 2am on February 17, 2023.
