Service Update for December 1, 2020

The Paramount Service teams within Burlington, Oakville, Waterdown and Milton began their salt service runs as of 3:30am on December 1st. Most sites within these service areas received anywhere from 1 to 3cm of snowfall. This salt run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the temperatures dropping below 0 during the overnight hours. All shovel crews are also out performing services for walkways. At this time within these areas other than Carlisle no residential property will be serviced as we have not yet hit the 5cm threshold. We have an estimated completion of this service run by 11:30am on December 1.

The Paramount Service teams within Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby began their salt service runs as of 3:30am on December 1st. Most sites within these service areas received anywhere from 1 to 3cm of snowfall. This salt run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the temperatures dropping below 0 during the overnight hours. All shovel crews are also out performing services for walkways. At this time within these areas other than Carlisle no residential property will be serviced as we have not yet hit the 5cm threshold. ** Update as of 4am all sites within Hamilton, Stoney Creek and Grimsby will be receiving a full plow service which a salt run will commence right after. There was a band of snow that came through these service areas which dropped around 5cm of snowfall as well drifting so our teams have switched gears. This will delay our estimated completion of services on sites. All residential properties will be serviced during this episode. The Paramount Service teams within Kitchener-Waterloo, Guelph and Cambridge began their service runs as of 3:30am on December 1st. Most sites within these service areas received anywhere from 5 to 7cm of snowfall. All teams will be performing a full plow service run of all properties within these service areas, once all has been cleared our teams will be resting for a few hours before beginning again. These areas are expecting to receive more snowfall during the day and can be an upwards of 15cm of snowfall by the this weather system has passed through these areas. All properties within these areas were completely serviced for the 1st run around 7am on December 1. The properties within Guelph received a full plow service and a salt run commenced right after the servicing as the snow stopped within this service city, Guelph also received anywhere from 5 to 7cm of snowfall. All walks crews have been out servicing these properties as well.

Most sites within these service areas received anywhere from 1 to 3cm of snowfall so a full salt service run will be performed. This salt run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the temperatures dropping below 0 during the overnight hours. Some sites within these areas were also plowed due to some blowing and drifting snow. All shovel crews are also out performing services for walkways.

The Paramount Service teams within Mississauga, Brampton and Georgetown began their service runs as of 3:30am on December 1st. Most sites within these service areas received anywhere from 1 to 3cm of snowfall. Mississauga is receiving a full salt service run where as Brampton and Georgetown received more snow so these sites will be plowed before being salted. This salt run is being performed to help combat any slippery areas that may arise due to the temperatures dropping below 0 during the overnight hours. All shovel crews are also out performing services for walkways.

** UPDATE – as of 4am all teams within the Northern Mississauga service areas have switched gears to perform a full plow service run of all properties. There was a band of snow that came through these areas which dropped another 5cm of snowfall. All teams will continue to plow and cleanup all sites before performing the salt service run to help combat any further snowfall that we may receive.
