Salt Service Run Completion January 22, 2023

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a full salt service run as of 6pm on January 22, 2023. The teams had been monitoring a weather system that started around noon on January 22, 2023 across the GTA, the snow stopped within these regions around 11pm on January 22, 2023. Within these regions we had seen anywhere from 2 – 3cm of snowfall throughout this weather episode. Waterdown and Carlisle were closer to 5cm so the teams plowed before salting these sites. Temperatures throughout this weather system remained around 1 to 0 degrees and started to dip around 1am on January 23 below freezing. Our teams performed this salt service run to help combat the snow that is falling as well combat any slippery areas from forming while temperatures dip below freezing. Our teams completed this salt service run within these regions as of 12am on January 23, 2023. Our teams remain on standby should further servicing be required.
