Salt Service Run Completion January 13, 2023

The Paramount Service teams throughout Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Waterdown started a full salt service run within these regions as of midnight on January 13, 2023. Within Burlington and Oakville the majority of the sites were wet and with some flurries throughout the early morning hours. Harder snow started to fall around 2am and ended around 6am with scattered flurries since. There seems to have been a couple bands that came through as our teams were salting. This salt service run was performed to help combat any slippery areas from forming as well to help combat further snow that is continuing to fall and is forecasted to end around 3pm today. Within Milton our teams performed a salt service run same as the other regions but a large band came through and around 10cm fell during this time. The teams had to plow all sites and salt for a second run after the band of snow completed. Our teams within Waterdown also had to plow before salting as there was approximately 5-8 cm of snow. Our teams completed all routes as of 8am on January 13, 2023 and have been sent home for a rest period. We are planning on going back out for another salt service run within these regions and possibly a tidy up of sites where required, we are going to be reconvening this afternoon to re-assess the weather and will advise when our teams are back out again today for another cleanup. Please check back to this site for future service level updates.
