Snow Shovel Crew Member – Waterdown, ON
Winter is around the corner and it is never to early to start thinking about snow removal. Paramount Landscaping is looking for responsible individuals to join our Winter 2023-2024 sidewalk crews.
Experience using hand shovels, snow blowers, sidewalk equipment with plow or blower are an asset but not necessary. Any relevant experience working outdoors in winter should be noted.
Contract, 5 months
Specific Responsibilities:
- This is a 24/7 on call position. You will be expected to attend each and every snow storm or freezing rain event.
- You will be assigned to a 3-4 person crew under the direction of a crew leader and you will travel from site to site performing snow removal services. You will require transportation to and from our yard.
- Since snow does not follow a schedule, work can take place overnight and early morning hours as well as regular daytime hours.
- Drivers with G Class License $25.00 hr.
- Crews 3-4 in size using new equipment
- There is opportunity to continue working during summer months
- Must provide own transportation to and from our shop
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Weekends as needed
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Waterdown, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Snow Shovel Crew: 2 years (required)
- Physical Work: 2 years (required)
