Operations Manager – Waterdown, ON

Looking for a long-term career opportunity within the landscaping industry? Paramount Landscaping Inc. is looking to expand our dedicated team of professionals and is hiring for an Operations Manager.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations for both maintenance and construction divisions, ensuring crews are properly scheduled, materials and equipment are prepared, and jobs are executed efficiently and within budget.
• Coordinate with the President to manage staffing needs, fleet and equipment maintenance, and seasonal transitions.
• Handle recruitment, promotions, and disciplinary actions in collaboration with HR agency partner.
• Train and mentor staff to ensure high performance and adherence to company policies and safety protocols.
• Respond to client inquiries and complaints, conduct site visits, and maintain quality control standards across all projects.
• Monitor job costs, review profitability reports, and implement solutions to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Conduct weekly manager meetings to discuss ongoing operations and strategic planning.
• Supervise daily operations, including the preparation of trucks and trailers for crews, supervision of departure and return times, and ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and secured.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an operations management role, preferably within the landscaping or construction industry.
• Proven leadership abilities with experience in recruiting, managing, mentoring, and training staff.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Proficient in technology advancements and keeping up-to-date on technological innovations, including GPS tracking and scheduling systems.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, and be available during peak seasons for on-site management.
• Operations Management: 5 years (Required)
• Landscaping or Construction: 5 years (Preferred)
• Staff Training: 3 years (Preferred)
• HR skills: 1 years (Preferred)

Salary: $80,000-$100,000 per year
Benefits: Benefits package available after six months of employment

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
