Positions Available:

Job Summary:

Landscape construction leadhands are responsible to contribute to the construction of landscape projects and take direction from the Landscape Construction Manager.

Primary Duties:

  1. *Follow direction from the Landscape Construction Manager
  2. *Supervise, direct, lead and train general construction labourers under your direction
  3. *Become familiar with contract requirements of each project you are working on
  4. *Manage time spent on sites and meet or exceed project time budgets
  5. *Complete all paperwork required by the Landscape Construction Manager
  6. *Operate Levels, Concrete saws, wood production equipment, bobcats, mt52, etc.
  7. *Follow designs of construction projects
  8. *Perform 'walk around' of all job sites each day and upon completion to ensure site is up to standard
  9. *Ensure that projects are up to Paramount Landscaping standards
  10. *Project a positive company image by acting professionally at all times, on or off client properties
  11. *Follow and enforce with other employees and subcontractors all company policies and procedures including Health & Safety Policy
  12. *Understand and perform basic computer skills which include (Word, Excel, etc)

Secondary Duties:

  1. *Keep vehicles, trailers and tools clean, in working order and organized at the end of every day. Ensure that tool/equipment checklists are filled out.
  2. *Ensure that any damaged, lost or stolen tools or equipment are reported to the Manager and that any broken equipment is tagged
  3. *In all aspects of work participate within a culture that emphasizes company values and team work.

Job Requirements:

  1. *Must have at least 2 years' experience as a lead hand
  2. *Valid and clean driver's license abstract
  3. *Work well both individually and within a team environment
  4. *Have good oral and written communication skills, job task planning and organization
  5. *Complete all paperwork required by the Landscape Construction Manager
  6. *Adhere to company dress code to reflect a neat and professional image.
  7. *Willingness and available for continuous learning.
  8. *Some heavy lifting/labour may be required (>100 lbs.).
  9. *Willingness to work extended hours during busy periods.

Wage and Opportunities:

Level C(probationary for 90 days):

  1. *Maintains a valid driver's license in good standing
  2. * Must have at least 3 years landscape construction or 1 full season in a lead hand /foreman position at another reputable company

Level B:

  1. *Wage begins at $20.00/hour
  2. *Proven ability to lead/direct others
  3. *Must complete all required safety courses
  4. *Must have satisfactory attendance/'on time' record
  5. *Must have strong adherence to uniform policy
  6. *Must have current First Aid + CPR course
  7. *Must have Grade 12 or equivalent
  8. *Demonstrates compliance with OHSA, and company health and safety policies

Level A(Certified):

  1. *Wage begins at $22.00/hour
  2. *Has at least 1 full calendar year experience of being a Level B Foreman with Paramount Landscaping
  3. *Has completed either a degree or equivalent course in landscape construction
  4. *Receive ICPI certification
  5. *Receive at least 3 customer reviews in the excellent categories
  6. *Achieved an 'Exceeds Requirements' rating in at least 4/6 performance review criteria and no ratings below 'Meets Requirements'
  7. *Has achieved/completed no less than 3 performance goals set during performance review

Job Summary:

Property Maintenance General Labourers are responsible for assisting Lead Hands or Supervisors in the maintenance of landscape maintenance clients.

Primary Duties:

  1. *Follow direction from the Property Maintenance Lead Hand, Supervisor or Manager
  2. *Operate landscape maintenance equipment including push mowers, mid-size walk behind mowers, zero-turn mowers, trimmers and blowers
  3. *Pull weeds, cultivate and edge gardens when required
  4. *Trim shrubs and trees when required
  5. *Ensure that properties are maintained up to Paramount Landscaping standards
  6. *Project a positive company image by acting professionally at all times, on or off client properties
  7. *Follow all company policies and procedures including Health & Safety Policy

Secondary Duties:

  1. *Ensure that vehicles, trailers and tools used throughout the day are kept clean and organized at the end of every day. Complete checklists
  2. *Conduct weekly inspections of tools and trailers
  3. *Ensure that any damaged, lost or stolen tools or equipment are reported to the Lead Hand, Supervisor or Manager immediately
  4. *Complete quarterly inspections of fire extinguishers and first aid kit

Wage and Opportunities:

Level C(entry level):

  1. *Wage begins at $14.00/hour
  2. *Has at least 1 full calendar year experience of being a Level B Foreman with Paramount Landscaping
  3. *Must complete probation period of 90 days
  4. *Must complete all required safety courses
  5. *Must have satisfactory attendance record
  6. *Must have strong adherence to uniform policy
  7. *Demonstrates compliance with OHSA, and company health and safety policies/li>

Level B(experienced labourer):

  1. *Wage begins at $16.00/hour
  2. *At least 1 calendar year experience in our company
  3. * Complete 3 'productivity'-type training courses
  4. *Demonstrates ability to work unsupervised
  5. *Has achieved a rating of 'Exceeds Requirements' in at least 2/6 performance review criteria
  6. *Has achieved/completed no less than 2 performance goals set during performance review

Level A(Lead Hand):

  1. *Lead Hands are employees that will normally perform the duties of Level B and C Labourers, but are occasionally required to lead a team in the case of an absent Foreman or to do occasional additional work outside their normal duties.
  2. *Wage begins at $17.00/hour
  3. *Must meet all Level B and C requirements
  4. *Maintains a valid driver's license in good standing
  5. *Demonstrates ability to lead others + small projects
  6. *Demonstrates very good communication skills and habits (both spoken and written)

Property Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for supervising a crew of 2-4 employees in the maintenance of property maintenance clients.

Primary Duties:

  1. *Follow direction from the Property Maintenance Manager
  2. *Supervise, direct, lead and train property maintenance general labourers under your direction
  3. *Become familiar with contract requirements of all clients on your list
  4. *Manage time spent on sites and meet or exceed monthly time budgets
  5. *Complete all paperwork required by the Property Maintenance Manager
  6. *Operate landscape maintenance equipment including push mowers, mid-size walk behind mowers, zero-turn mowers, trimmers and blowers

  10. *Some heavy lifting/labour may be required (>50 lbs.).

  5. *Must have strong adherence to uniform policy
  6. *Must have current First Aid + CPR course
  7. *Must have Grade 12 or equivalent
  8. *Demonstrates compliance with OHSA, and company health and safety policies

Level A (Certified):
